Helping others, that’s what it really comes down to. I get joy out of helping other people achieve their fitness goals and become healthy. It drives me to help motivate people to become the best they can be.
People oftentimes come to a gym, intimidated by the equipment and other people. They may not know how to achieve their goals or are not willing to spend the time to improve their health. I know that I can make a difference and help individuals reach those goals, in a safe and effective way, and this excites me.
At Freedom Fitness, I design individualized fitness & nutrition programs to assist people in achieving the results they desire and in the most efficient manner. My role is to provide instruction and accountability as well as motivation. I also help individuals that have issues with shoulders, back, knees, etc. Programs are designed to help strengthen these areas with care.
It’s energizing to see new faces walk through the gym that are eager and have the desire to put their all into working out consistently to accomplish their goals. It’s exciting to see the changes, both externally and internally, as people begin to look and feel better than they have in years.
Of course there are always obstacles that must be overcome as well. I hear many of the same excuses for not staying consistent or achieving goals. One of the most common excuses is time constraints. Over and over again I hear “I just don’t have enough time”. The question I pose is “When are we ever going to have the time then?” If health and fitness are not priority, there will never be enough time. We have to make the time and make our health a top priority. It’s important to establish a regular routine. With the right program, it will only take 30 to 60 minutes, 3 to 5 days a week to accomplish the results you want.
Another common excuse I hear is that people are afraid of hurting themselves and thus avoid a gym or even working out. Working with a personal trainer addresses this concern. Trainers, like myself, will take the time to explain how to use proper techniques to avoid injury or further injury.
The investment with a personal trainer is well worth it to ensure the time spent in the gym and working out is efficient, to help avoid injuries, and keep you accountable…all to help you become the best you can be.
